Ascendia — the iOS and Android apps and this website — is operated by Shaoom Creations Private Limited (“we”, “us”). We decide how the personal data described here is used. This notice applies whether you use Ascendia without an account, as a member, or as a teacher.
The short version: most of what you write in Ascendia never leaves your phone. We collect only what an account, a purchase and a shared practice need. We do not sell data and we do not show ads.
These stay on your phone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, with or without an account:
Face ID and fingerprint unlock are handled by your phone; we never receive biometric data. You can export what is on your phone from Settings → Data in the app. Deleting your account from inside the app, or deleting the app, erases it from the device.
Without an account, the apps download practice content from our servers, which is an ordinary web request that involves your IP address, but we keep nothing that identifies you. When you create an account, buy something or take part, we collect:
We do not ask for health information. The before-and-after rating is a word you choose about how you feel, not a medical measurement.
Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a service that is secure and not abused, your consent where the law requires it, and our legal obligations for financial records.
Teachers see totals, not people: how many members opened a course, how many minutes were listened to in a period, and what they earned. They do not see who listened, how far you got, what you wrote, or your email address.
If you book a session with a teacher, they receive what the booking needs — your name, your email and the details you give — so they can hold the session.
These companies handle personal data for Ascendia. Apple, Google and Unsplash act under their own policies; the others act only on our instructions.
| Company | What it handles | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Your account, practice sessions, content use, circle posts, bookings and teachers’ uploads. | Our database, sign-in and file storage. |
| RevenueCat | An anonymous purchase identifier, linked to your account once you sign in, and the status of memberships bought in the apps. | Confirms App Store and Google Play purchases, so a membership works on every device you sign in on. |
| Apple and Google | Your in-app purchases and the payment details you gave them. | They sell memberships inside the apps, under their own privacy policies. |
| Stripe | Card and billing details for purchases on this website, and teachers’ payout details. | Website payments and teacher payouts. Card numbers never reach our servers. |
| Calendly | The details of a session you book with a teacher. | Scheduling for sessions with teachers. |
| Daily.co | The video call for a booked session. | Video for live and one-to-one sessions. |
| Vercel | Requests to this website, including IP addresses in short-lived server logs. | Hosts this website. |
| Unsplash | Your IP address, at the moment the app shows one of the starter photos offered for a vision board. | Hosts those starter photos. Photos you take or choose yourself are never uploaded — to Unsplash or to us. |
Beyond these, we disclose personal data only when the law requires it, and we tell you when we are allowed to.
When you delete your account, the account and the data linked to it are deleted straight away. Apple, Google and Stripe keep their own records of your transactions under their own policies.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
To delete your account yourself, open the app and go to Settings → Profile → Delete account, or follow the steps on the account deletion page. For anything else, write to privacy@ascendiaunite.com. We reply within 30 days, and using these rights costs nothing.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live — for example the Data Protection Board of India, your supervisory authority in the EU or UK, or the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Our providers store and process data in more than one country, including the United States and the European Union, so your data may be handled outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, those transfers are protected by approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Ascendia is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger. If you believe a child is using an account, write to privacy@ascendiaunite.com and we will delete it.
No service is perfectly safe. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you, and the authorities where the law requires it, without delay.
When we change this notice in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies, and update the date at the top of this page.
Questions about your data, including privacy complaints: privacy@ascendiaunite.com. Anything else: support@ascendiaunite.com. Ascendia is operated by Shaoom Creations Private Limited.
