What we commit to
Ascendia already does a number of unusual things and has never said them out loud. This page says them. Every line is a decision already made in the product or written into the terms, with the source linked beside it — so you can check rather than take our word, and so they can be held against us later.
Ten commitments
In the order they matter. The first one is the one everything else is arranged around.
Ascendia is a contemplative and educational practice. Nothing in it treats, diagnoses, cures or prevents any illness, and nobody here acts as your doctor, therapist or counsellor. That sentence is not a disclaimer bolted to the foot of the site; it is the rule the copy is written against.
So a tone is described by the association its tradition gives it, never by what it will do to you. A breath pattern is described by how it is practised, not by what it changes in you. Teachers agree in writing to make no claim to treat, diagnose, cure or prevent anything, and never to discourage anyone from seeking medical or psychological care — and we unpublish work that breaks that.

Your journal entries and dream log, the voice notes you record, your mood check-ins and intentions, and your vision boards including the photos you choose for them are held on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, with or without an account.
We cannot read them, because we do not have them. That is a design decision with a cost we accept: it is why they do not appear on a second device by themselves, and why you move them yourself through Settings, then Data, then Export. Face ID and fingerprint unlock are handled by your phone; no biometric data ever reaches us.
Written down inPrivacy — what stays on your device →
Every application is read by a human being. A profile is approved before it appears, and first submissions and material changes go through content review before a member can open them. Where something needs work, the teacher is told what and why — never a silent rejection and never a shadow ban.
Teachers here are independent practitioners, not our employees, and review is a floor rather than an endorsement. It checks for honesty, safety and the boundaries above.

Stripe verifies a teacher’s identity and bank details before any money is paid out. Members are handing a teacher their inner life; they are entitled to know that a real, accountable person stands behind the name on the page.
Teachers are paid from a shared pool allocated by the minutes members actually listen to. Nothing a teacher earns depends on keeping you in the app longer than you meant to stay.

Of the 41 beings in the Teachings, 13 are figures of documented history and 28 belong to devotional or channeled tradition. Every one of the 28 carries the same note in plain sight, in the app and on this site — not a footnote, not a euphemism, not a disclaimer you have to go looking for.
Where a figure is historical, the teaching carries their own words with the source named. We would rather lose the mystique than blur which is which — and the same honesty governs channeled work, which is always labelled as channeled and offered for reflection rather than presented as fact.

We show no ads. The apps do not use your device advertising identifier. We run no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools in the apps or on this website, and the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The cookies it does set are the ones that keep you signed in.
We do not sell or rent personal data or share it for advertising, and we do not use anything you write to train AI models. If any of that ever changes, the privacy notice changes first and you are told before it applies.
Written down inPrivacy — what we do not do →
You can delete your account from inside the app, without asking anyone and without writing to support. The account and the data linked to it go straight away, what was on your phone is erased on your phone, and backups expire within 30 days.
What we cannot delete, we say we cannot delete: Apple, Google and Stripe keep their own records of your payments under their own policies, and a teacher’s earnings and payout records are kept as long as tax law requires — no longer linked to you.
Written down inHow to delete your account →Privacy — how long we keep it →
You can cancel at any time without writing to anyone first. Your membership stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then it stops. If a price ever changes we tell you before it applies, and never in the middle of a period you have paid for.
Seeker is free permanently, with no card and no trial clock. It is a whole daily practice rather than a demo of one.
Written down inBilling, in plain words →
A teacher sees how many members opened a course, how many minutes were listened to in a period, and what they earned. They do not see who listened, how far anyone got, what anyone wrote, or anybody’s email address.
The one exception is a session you book with a teacher yourself, where they receive what the booking needs in order to hold it.

Features that are not built yet are marked coming soon wherever they appear, and they are excluded from the reasons to pay for a tier today. They are a plan, not a promise with a date.
The same applies in reverse: the guided and sleep sessions are described as being recorded because they are being recorded. We would rather a page look thinner than let a roadmap do the selling.

Honesty about provenance
The fifth commitment is easy to claim and easy to quietly drop. This is the note itself, and a few of the beings that carry it — including some of the best known in the product.
The note, in full
Honored in devotional / channeled tradition — offered for reflection, not as historical or scientific fact.

28 of the 41 carry it. The other 13 are figures of documented history, and their teachings quote their own words with the source named. Naming the difference costs us nothing we wanted to keep.
The boundary, written out
The rule sounds abstract until you see it applied. Here is the note that appears with the frequencies, unedited — the same words in the app and on this site.
The equivalent holds everywhere else. A breath pattern gets its cadence in seconds and a sentence on how it is practised. A teaching gets its tradition and its sources. The Ascent is a mirror drawn from your own check-ins, seen by nobody else, and is not an assessment of anything about your health.
Shown with every frequency
These are real tones offered for relaxation and focus. The traditional Solfeggio associations are a contemplative framework, not a medical claim — sound does not diagnose, treat, or cure. Use what feels supportive, and rest.
If you find a line anywhere in Ascendia that reads as a health claim, write to support@ascendiaunite.com and quote it. That is a bug, and we fix it like one.
The other half
A page of commitments with no limits on it is marketing. These are the edges of what we can honestly promise.
Human review checks for honesty, safety and the boundaries we set. It is not an endorsement of a teacher’s worldview, and it cannot make a practice right for you.
We will not tell you that a practice will produce any particular outcome, because nobody honest can. What we will do is describe accurately what a practice is and leave the rest to you.
Guided meditations and sleep sessions are being recorded. Live calls and one-to-one sessions are named as coming soon. Those are the true states, and we would rather print them than imply otherwise.
Apple, Google and Stripe keep records of your payments under their own policies, and we cannot delete those for you. Our processors are listed by name in the privacy notice, with what each one handles.
The mobile app ships in 13 languages; this site does not. We would rather say so than machine-translate a page whose whole job is careful wording.
Data on our servers is protected by row-level security, passwords are stored only as hashes, and data is encrypted in transit. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you, and the authorities where the law requires it.
Everything above is checkable: the terms and the privacy notice say the same things in legal language, and a person answers the support address. If we ever fall short of a line on this page, that is worth telling us about.
Ascendia is a contemplative and educational practice, not a medical or mental-health service.
